How well is the try harder approach working for you?

I coach rising leaders to transform their worlds by lowering the energy needed for change.

For many, trying harder isn’t the right approach to becoming a better leader. To a lot of leaders, it’s an anxiety-inducing, depression-activating, blame-gaming, bull$#!+ing, and tail-chasing waste of mental, physical, and emotional energy.

The try softer approach, however, is more intentional and attentive. It’s still work, just a different way of going about the journey. It’s a more infinite-minded approach. It’s soul-calming, truth-seeking, responsibility-taking, others-growing, confidence-building, capabilities-developing, and creative-problem-solving investment in themselves, their teams, their families, and their communities.

It provides leaders I coach with the space and grace to learn and discern. They not only become more thoughtful and valuable leaders, but they become more fulfilled as one who loves the ride.

These types of leaders are good for their people.

Good for society.

Good for their families.

Good to themselves.

And they’re enjoying the journey and the view.

Here’s how we work:

1st. You and I connect for 20 minutes in a get-to-know-you session.

2nd. Soon after, we will do a 2-hour initial coaching session.

3rd. The plan is to put the first 90 days into motion, getting outside of thinking and into action, which looks like six (6) sessions spread out over every two weeks for roughly three months.

4th. After this first 90 days, we have some options. If you’re game, we can do an additional:

  • six (6) sessions done once every two weeks for roughly three months,

  • twelve (12) sessions done once every two weeks for six months, or

  • twenty-four (24) sessions done once every two weeks for one year.

5th. As part of this, we do quarterly Zoom dinners with other leaders I coach. Totally optional, but I’m willing to bet that you’ll love these folks, and that you’ll not only learn a lot from them, but that you’ll have something to teach them as well.

6th. In addition, you can drop me quick emails or we can chat by phone for a few minutes as needed.

Ready?

Your journey to leadership transformation does not have to be anxious. It shouldn’t make you feel worse, or tired, or less-than. It should be a journey that you’re glad to be on. If you’re ready, or if you’re just curious, click the following link to start a conversation.
